Fur collars / scarves were put on my wish list at the very beginning of this winter. Wearing a fur collar / scarf is such an easy way to add chic to any winter outfits, day and night! Also it keeps me warm and cozy in chilling days. It goes with cardigans, sweater dresses, trench coats, and even down jackets! You can wear it by itself, or combine with your silk scarves (see how does MaiTai tie her Hermes with fur collars?). This purple fox fur scarf is made by ADRIENNE LANDAU, and was purchased from Saksfifthavenue yesterday (it was $598, and now on sale at $238). There are two colors I saw in the store, black and purple. Black is certainly more versatile, and easily goes with any colors. However, black (from fox fur) seems to be too heavy for my height, and too dark for my hair color. Also, Amanda got me a skinny belt, in purple.........
I paired the fur scarf with my JCrew sweater dress (on sale at $27, girl size 14, also see here). The purple patent leather belt is also a buy (thank you, Amanda), from JCrew (on sale at $10). Finished this outfit with my purple tall boots.
The whole outfit might be better with a brown purse/bag; however, I don't have any small ones in my closet :). This black Chanel classic flap seems to work too.
